Phillips Pediatrics Vaccine Policy
Phillips Pediatrics follows immunization guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). We firmly believe in the safety and effectiveness of vaccines to prevent illness and to save lives. An essential part of managing your child’s health includes ensuring they are up-to-date on their vaccinations.
An essential part of community and public health includes mass immunity. A highly vaccinated population limits the spread of illness and protects our most vulnerable patients. We firmly believe that much of the protection of vaccines comes from herd immunity, and we aim to maintain a 90-95% herd immunity rate.
Unless there is a medical cause, we are not currently accepting alternate vaccine schedules and feel you should find a healthcare provider who shares your views. We respect the rights of all
parents/guardians to make decisions and understand that you also want what is best for your child(ren). We are happy to educate you more on childhood immunizations and the diseases they prevent. For your convenience, we have included trusted resources and our current vaccine schedule.
